Yoga Classes

At Lotus, we provide grounded, elevated and prenatal yoga classes.

Below is a sampling of the yoga classes you will find on our schedule. Please keep in mind, class offerings vary depending on demand and teacher availability. Please check the schedule to choose your desired class.


Prenatal Yoga

Prenatal yoga is a multifaceted approach to exercise that encourages stretching, mental centering and focused breathing. Beyond a way to relax and stay fit, prenatal yoga can also help you prepare for birth and promote your baby’s health. Research suggests that prenatal yoga can improve sleep, reduce stress and anxiety, increase flexibility, strength and endurance of muscles needed for childbirth, and decrease lower back pain, nausea, headaches and shortness of breath.

Additionally, prenatal yoga at Lotus allows you to build a community of soon-to-be mommies. One of our members had this to say about our classes: ““I loved the classes – I received the biggest benefit from simply being surrounded by a community of supportive women.”


Vinyasa Flow

Vinyasa Flow is for the participant who enjoys a more active style of yoga! This is a strong, dynamic breath to movement flow class that will start with basic postures and progress to an increase in physical, mental and emotional flexibility and strength. The class is sure to challenge you regardless of your level. Participants are required to bring a mat (or rent one from Lotus) and wear comfortable clothing. Vinyasa Express is ideal class during your lunch break! Land on your mat, set your intention and build momentum moving breath to movement. Find fluidity, strength & balance. Rejuvenate your mind. (55 Minutes)


Beginner’s Yoga with Michelle

Michelle Hunt is a certified Kripalu Yoga Teacher with the Kripalu School of Yoga, with over 200 hours of intensive yoga teacher training.  Michelle wishes to assist others on their journey of self-discovery and self-transformation, by sharing the transformative wisdom and practice of yoga.  In accordance with the awesome training and tradition of the Kripalu School of Yoga Michelle will lead you through a 45 minute yoga experience of meditation, yoga breathing techniques, posture practice, and relaxation.

If you are looking to improve your flexibility: you will be guided through warm-ups and postures in accordance with the Kripalu Yoga tradition, that will stretch your entire body.

If you are looking to reduce stress: the stretching and strengthening in accordance with the Kripalu Yoga tradition of practice will allow you to release chronic muscle tension that inhibits relaxation.  Each class concludes with deep relaxation.

If you are looking to improve overall health and fitness: regular yoga practice in accordance with the Kripalu Yoga tradition stretches and strengthens your entire body, revitalizes the respiratory, nervous, endocrine, digestive and other major systems of the body that support healthy functioning.

Whatever your motivation is for your practice, no prior yoga experience is necessary, all bodies are welcome!
